Overview ( 5 Minutes)

This session provides opportunities for participants to explore a planning framework for embedding the Information and Technology Essential Standards into local curriculum. Throughout this session links to supporting and expanding content are provided for use in planning local professional development.

Goals

The goal of this session is to share the TPACK framework and offer experience with tools and resources for providing professional development, while assisting the trainer in identifying the nature of knowledge required by teachers for technology integration.

Learning Outcomes

At the conclusion of this session participants will be able to design local professional development based on the TPACK Framework
  • share the basic components of the TPACK Framework
  • differentiate the training to meet the needs of their district/school
  • locate resources that support TPACK
